Undated:  Stormy Daniels[5] (born March 17, 1979 as Stephanie Gregory),[1] legally known as Stephanie Clifford,[6] and also known professionally as Stormy Waters, is an American pornographic actress, stripper, and director. She has won numerous industry awards, and is a member of the NightMoves, AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame.[7][8][9] In 2009, a recruitment effort led her to consider challenging incumbent David Vitter for the 2010 Senate election in her native Louisiana.[10]

In 2018, Daniels became involved in a legal dispute with U.S. President Donald Trump and his attorney Michael Cohen. Trump and his surrogates paid $130,000 hush money to silence Daniels about an affair she says she had with Trump in 2006. Trump's spokespeople have denied the affair and accused Daniels of lying.

March 7: President “David Dennison,” also known as Donald Trump, is facing a lawsuit because he didn’t sign the “hush agreement” that would have kept Stephanie Clifford, also known as porn star “Stormy Daniels,” from talking about their alleged affair over a decade ago.

In the alleged non-disclosure agreement between Trump and Clifford, Trump is referred to throughout as “David Dennison” and Clifford as “Peggy Petterson.” Only in a separate, code-breaking document is Dennison identified as Trump. That part of the document in the court filing Clifford brought forward on Tuesday is blacked out, but Clifford’s attorneys says “David Dennison” refers to Trump.

March 21: Stormy Daniels ... The former porn star reportedly had an affair with Trump after meeting him at a celebrity golf tournament in 2006. Daniels has sued to break an agreement that keeps her from telling her side of the story.

March 21: If you haven't heard the name David Dennison, brace yourself. You're about to hear it everywhere. If you have heard it, but you're still confused about who Dennison is, or why the name exists, the late-night comics have a few answers for you: He's our president. And he's involved in a legal battle with another alias — Peggy Peterson.

President Trump signed a non-disclosure agreement with Stormy Daniels, a former porn star also known as Peggy Peterson. Peterson sued Dennison for the right to speak out about the affair. And Dennison is suing Peterson to keep it quiet. Confused yet?

April 6: How Much Money Is Stormy Daniels Making From Her Alleged Affair With Trump?

Stormy Daniels has been adamant that money is not what motivated her to tell her story. That may be so, but she certainly finds herself able to make a lot more of it these days. Since allegations of a 2006 affair with Donald Trump and a $130,000 hush payment made by Trump’s lawyer surfaced in January, Daniels has become a household name—with the earning power to prove it.

“Stormy’s essentially become the most famous porn star of all time,” says Alec Helmy, publisher of adult industry news outlet XBIZ. “And with that level of fame comes a windfall of opportunity.”

October 2: Donald Trump's Stormy Daniels story just keeps collapsing

The news that President Donald Trump personally directed then-personal attorney Michael Cohen to seek a restraining order against Stormy Daniels to keep the porn star from telling her story of an alleged affair between the two is the latest example of just how little of what Trump and Cohen initially said about Daniels is actually true.

"Don't worry, I'll pay for everything," Trump told Cohen in February, according to a source with direct knowledge of the matter

October 8: Stormy Daniels says she regrets body shaming President Trump with graphic description

Porn star Stormy Daniels said she regrets including a passage in her new book that provides a vivid description of President Donald Trump's genitalia because she feels it is a form of "body shaming."

"Now that, you know, the book is out and people are reading about it and it's all over the internet, I actually feel pretty terrible about it," Daniels said Sunday on "60 Minutes Australia."

October 16: Trump, Stormy Daniels in Twitter spat after lawsuit dismissal

"'Federal Judge throws out Stormy Danials lawsuit versus Trump. Trump is entitled to full legal fees.' @FoxNews Great, now I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas. She will confirm the letter she signed! She knows nothing about me, a total con!" Trump wrote on Twitter.

Daniels shot back on Twitter: "Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present your president. In addition to his...umm...shortcomings, he has demonstrated his incompetence, hatred of women and lack of self control on Twitter AGAIN! And perhaps a penchant for bestiality. Game on, Tiny."

December 3: Lawyers for President Donald Trump asked a court Monday for nearly $800,000 in lawyers’ fees and penalties from porn actress Stormy Daniels for a failed defamation lawsuit against him.

Attorney Charles Harder defended ringing up a nearly $390,000 legal bill for the president and asked for an equal amount in sanctions as a deterrent against a “repeat filer of frivolous defamation cases.”

Judge S. James Otero didn’t immediately rule. He noted that fees by Harder’s firm — as high as $840 an hour — were reasonable but the 580 hours spent on the case appeared to be excessive and might be trimmed in his eventual award. He didn’t indicate how he felt about the requested penalties, but had questioned whether attorneys’ fees alone would serve as a deterrent.

Otero ruled in October that Trump’s statement was “rhetorical hyperbole” against a political adversary and was protected speech under the First Amendment.

Although the lawsuit didn’t get far before Otero tossed it, he said it was a “one of a kind” case that demanded a fair bit of legal work.

“Given a case of this magnitude, you have to err on the side of being thorough,” Otero said.

December 12: Dime versus dime as Stormy Daniels balks at paying Trump

P
orn star Stormy Daniels "will never pay a dime" to President Trump, despite being ordered to pay nearly $293,000 in legal fees for a failed defamation case, her attorney Michael Avenatti says.

Charles Harder, an attorney for Trump, said Avenatti was wrong about Trump owing Daniels money. "Mr. Avenatti’s claim that the president owes Stormy Daniels one dime is completely baseless and intended solely to deflect attention from the massive legal defeat that Stormy Daniels and Mr. Avenatti just suffered yesterday," Harder said.

February 16: Trump lawyers 'lied about hush payment to porn star Stormy Daniels' says top Democrat, as ethics official calls them out for 'evolving stories' and demands they hand over finance docs

February 22: On Tuesday, the New York Times published the results of an extensive investigation into Trump's "two-year war on the investigations encircling him." The paper found that there has been a "sustained, more secretive assault by Mr. Trump on the machinery of federal law enforcement" than has been previously publicly known ....

As part of his efforts to contain the ongoing legal crises he faces, Trump reportedly tried to install a loyalist in New York's Southern District, US attorney Geoffrey S. Berman, as the new person in charge of the investigations into Trump's hush-money payments, like the one apparently made to Stormy Daniels in 2016.
