Does the news media focus on Trump negativity and chaos? Of course! News outlets
are not required to lavish praise on any politician ... their job is to ferret
out factual stories about politicians which inform their readers, whether
positive or negative. Unfortunately, most factual information about Trump
actions and words happens to be negative.

that former national security adviser Susan Rice may have committed a crime by
seeking the identities of Trump associates who were swept up in the surveillance
of foreign officials by U.S. spy agencies and that other Obama administration
officials may also have been involved.

former national security adviser Michael Flynn was warned by the Defense
Intelligence Agency in 2014 against accepting foreign payments as he entered
retirement, according to documents released Thursday that contradict an account
by Flynn’s lawyer, according to a report Thursday.

midst of a malignant presidency," Bernstein said Friday. He added that leaders

Trump openly threatened Wednesday to go after the licenses of "NBC and the
Networks," as he ratcheted up his complaints about "Fake News."
In a story aired and posted online Wednesday morning, NBC reported that Mr.
Trump said during a meeting last summer that he wanted what amounted to a nearly
tenfold increase in the nation’s nuclear weapons stockpile, stunning some
members of his national security team. It was after this meeting that Secretary
of State Rex W. Tillerson reportedly said Mr. Trump was a “moron.”

October 11: Donald Trump just issued a direct threat to the free and independent media ...
Trump, like a dog on a bone, was still on the issue Wednesday night. “Network
news has become so partisan, distorted and fake that licenses must be challenged
and, if appropriate, revoked,” he tweeted. “Not fair to public!”
What Trump is suggesting here is that the Federal Communications Commission
needs to examine its licensing procedures for major news networks because what
they are reporting is not to his liking. The coverage isn’t positive enough for
Trump, so he wants some sort of punitive action doled out.
October 11: In a news conference with the
Kuwaiti emir last month, Trump "joked": "I'm very happy to hear you have trouble
with the press also."
Here's the thing: Kuwait isn't exactly a beacon of light and freedom when it
comes to the press. According to Freedom House, a US-based non-governmental
organization that studies freedom of the press around the world, Kuwait's press
freedom status is only "partly free" -- with a 59 out of 100 overall press
freedom score.
"Media operate in a restricted environment," reads the 2016 writeup.
"Journalists and social media users deemed to have insulted the emir or Saudi
Arabia often face prosecution, and the government sustains efforts to stifle
criticism of its actions and policies."

What’s more disgusting than freedom of press? The fact that our president, whose
lies have been exposed time and time again, wants to punish a news organization
for hurting his feelings with an entirely credible report. If Trump is so

Ralph Peters, a US Army lieutenant colonel who served as a military analyst for
Fox News, said he felt "compelled to explain" his departure from the company to
colleagues, before skewering the network he has called home for years. Peters
had been telling friends that he planned on leaving the network in a "nuclear"
fashion, one of those friends told CNN. (In an email Wednesday morning, Peters
said he had not told friends he "intended to make a splash" on his way out.)
