Undated:Ivana Marie "Ivanka" Trump (born October 30, 1981) is an American businesswoman, fashion designer, author,
reality television personality, and politician. She is the daughter of
PresidentDonald
Trump and Donald's first wife
Ivana.
She is the first Jewish member of a
First Family, having converted before marrying her Jewish husband,
Jared Kushner.[1]
Trump is a fourth generation businessperson who followed in the footsteps of her
great-grandmother
Elizabeth, grandfather
Fred,
and father, serving for a time as an executive vice president of the
family-owned
Trump Organization. She was also a boardroom judge on her father's TV show
The Apprentice.[2][3][4]
Starting in March 2017, she left the Trump Organization and began serving in her
father's
presidential administration as an adviser alongside her husband. She assumed
this official, unpaid position after ethics concerns were raised about her
having access to classified material while not being held to the same
restrictions as a federal employee.[5][6][7]
She was considered part of the president's inner circle even before becoming an
official employee in his administration.[8]

April 6: First daughter and White House
aide
Ivanka Trump reportedly met in secret with the head of Planned Parenthood, a
new report Thursday says.
"The purpose of the meeting, from Cecile's point of view, was to make sure that
Ivanka fully understood what Planned Parenthood does, how it is funded, and why
it would be a terrible idea for Planned Parenthood to be removed from being able
to see Medicaid patients," said Dawn Laguens, executive vice president of the
Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
April 11: According to Eric Trump:
"Ivanka is by [Trump's]
side in Washington. She is not involved in everything. I think she comes and
goes with issues she deeply cares about but when you get to a certain level of
power a lot of times, and you see this in business too, a lot of times people
will say yes just because you happen to be the boss....

April 18: On
April 6, Ivanka Trump’s company won provisional approval from the Chinese
government for three new trademarks, giving it monopoly rights to sell Ivanka
brand jewelry, bags and spa services in the world’s second-largest economy. That
night, the first daughter and her husband, Jared Kushner, sat next to the
president of China and his wife for a steak and Dover sole dinner at Mar-a-Lago.
The scenario underscores how difficult it is for Trump, who has tried to
distance herself from the brand that bears her name, to separate business from
politics in her new position at the White House.
April 22: [Ivanka]
Trump became an unpaid special
assistant to the president in late March. In the weeks since, American politics
has seen a lot: a struggle in Congress over repealing the Affordable Care Act,
a ratcheting-up of tensions with North Korea, an election in Georgia,
fluctuating approval ratings for the president, the confirmation of Supreme
Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and more. And although she may not have been involved
everything, Trump has been busy, on Friday welcoming a recently freed hostage to
the U.S. and preparing for her first official international trip to Germany.

July 8: The
World Bank used the occasion to launch a public-private loan program aimed at
providing over $1 billion to support women entrepreneurs in developing
countries, a project Ivanka first initiated just five months ago.
“This is not a cute little project,” World Bank President Jim Yong Kim said at
the kick-off, attended by six of the 20 world leaders at the summit, plus
leaders from other donor
countries and IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde.
”This is going to be a major driver of economic growth in the future ... and
it’s going to drive gender equality at the same time,” Kim said.
July 19:
Rep. Don Beyer today led over 20 Representatives
in requesting answers from the FBI about possible discrepancies on Ivanka
Trump’s SF-86 form, which she was required to complete when she
obtained a security clearance earlier this year.
Their letter noted
that the SF-86 requires the declaration of foreign contacts, meetings, and
business interests by the clearance holder’s spouse and siblings. The
Representatives asked whether Ivanka Trump properly disclosed her own meetings
and contacts, as well as those of her husband, Jared Kushner, and brother Donald
Jr.
The Representatives wrote:
“As a member of the White House staff and close adviser to the president, [Ivanka]
Trump applied for a security clearance, and, as a result, was required to
disclose her own foreign contacts as well as those of her spouse and siblings.”

October 4:Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. Were Close to Being
Charged With Felony Fraud
November 16:Ivanka Trump doesn't like
being called "complicit" in her father's policy agenda. But her great sin is
helping to vouch for and normalize her father's character. His alleged predatory
behavior — just as Roy Moore's — should have disqualified him from office. And
yet she helped convince voters that he was a terrific guy, a feminist even.

November 15: The presidential daughter and
adviser, in a “full-blown sprint” as she sells the Republican tax overhaul plan
and juggles other initiatives, has had it with all that talk about her “pet
project” to increase the child tax credit.
“I get a little bit frustrated when people call it a pet project,” Trump told
The Associated Press as she spent a day shuttling between events in multiple
states. “This is a major project, this is not a pet project. This is a major
initiative to ensure that there is meaningful middle-income tax relief for the
American taxpayer.”

November 27:Ivanka Trump heads to India
amid criticism and disappearing beggars
US secretary of state Rex
Tillerson has declined to send a high-level diplomatic team with Trump,
CNN reported on Nov. 25—he is reportedly against “bolstering” her image on
the world stage.
... in preparation for Trump’s
visit, authorities in Hyderabad have been rounding up beggars from traffic
junctions, bus stops, and railway stations, the
Press Trust of India reported earlier this month.
The city has banned begging in public areas and moved over 200 beggars to
separate shelter homes for men and women, where they are often separated from
their family members. There they are offered clean clothes and a shower, and
threatened with jail time on begging again.

December 22: In late
June, the Commercial Bank of Dubai sought—and later received—permission to
subpoena Ivanka Trump’s now-defunct fine jewelry line, claiming its diamonds
were used in a massive scheme to hide roughly $100 million that was owed to the
bank, according to filings at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District
of New York.

January 6:
Special counsel
Robert Mueller is reportedly looking into an interaction between a
Russian lawyer and
Ivanka Trump surrounding a controversial Trump Tower meeting during
the campaign.
While the first daughter and now-White House adviser did not take part in the
June 2016 meeting, she exchanged greetings with the Russian attorney and a
lobbyist who attended the meeting as they stepped off an elevator, a person
familiar with the exchange told
the Los Angeles Times.
January 26:Ivanka
Trump was in Greenville Friday to talk about the tax bill that was recently
passed by Republican-led Congress and how it affects the child tax credit.
February 4:
Ivanka, Rubio find a new project: Paid family leave
... Can the duo pining for a softer side of Republicanism win over the GOP?
Capitalizing on President Donald Trump’s endorsement of the idea in his State of
the Union address, Rubio is trying to marshal Republicans behind a plan that
would neither impose a mandate on employers nor raise taxes to pay for it — two
hurdles that have long halted the GOP from embracing paid family leave.

February 7:Ivanka Trump teams
up with conservatives to push Democratic themes
Ivanka Trump showed up in
Washington last year with a to-do list of policies straight from the Democratic
Party playbook. The president's daughter — a former Democratic donor — wanted
the administration to tackle paid family leave, equal pay for women and
affordable childcare.
February 9:
Ivanka Trump Seeks Republican Support After Democrats Reject Her Policy Agenda
The Democratic
Party, which first daughter Ivanka Trump previously donated to, has largely

turned to working with Republicans, according to a report.

Ivanka Trump practices diplomacy on South Korea Olympics trip
Ivanka Trump is
leading the US delegation to the 2018 Winter Olympics closing ceremony, and the
trip has thus far proved to be an exercise in diplomacy for the first daughter and senior adviser
to the President.
February 26: This Ivanka Trump answer is
exactly why nepotism laws exist ... "Do you believe your father's accusers?"
This is how she answered: "I think it's
a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers
of her father when he's affirmatively stated there's no truth to it."
That's a totally fine answer for a daughter to give! Makes perfect sense! Except
...
Ivanka Trump isn't just a
daughter. She's also a White House senior adviser. She has an office in the
building. She is seen as one of a very small group of voices the President
listens to.
Given the #metoo
movement, the number of high-profile men who have either admitted to or faced
serious accusations about sexual assault or misconduct and the accusations Trump
himself faces, it's entirely reasonable to ask a senior aide to the President
about it all.

May 27:Optics and ethics are two words
that simply are lacking in the Trump family lexicon.
We already knew President Donald Trump’s recent about-face on the Chinese
telecom company ZTE—considered a national security threat
by both Democrats and Republicans—was suspect. Shortly after Trump tweeted
earlier this month that
he was reversing policy on ZTE, news reports surfaced that the Chinese
government had agreed to grant $500 million in loans to an Indonesian resort
project
that would directly enrich Donald Trump. The loan was announced just 72
hours before Trump tweeted his order to bail out ZTE from impending closure.
May 31:The White House on Thursday

President Donald Trump acknowledged Tuesday that his daughter and senior adviser
Ivanka Trump
did use private email during the start of the administration, but declined
to acknowledge any hypocrisy over his criticism during the 2016 campaign of
Hillary Clinton's similar practice.
"Just so you understand,
early and for a little period of time, Ivanka did some emails," Trump told
reporters on the South Lawn.
November 26:
Ivanka Trump — President Donald Trump’s adviser and daughter — and Apple
Inc. CEO Tim Cook visited Wilder schools [in Idaho] Tuesday to examine the
district’s use of technology.
“Adviser to the President Ivanka Trump is traveling to Idaho as part of her
ongoing workforce development and STEM initiatives and will visit the Wilder
School District with Apple CEO Tim Cook,” said Judd Deere, director of media
affairs at the White House.
November 28:
Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano warned that
Ivanka Trump could be "exposed to a charge of espionage" if any of
the government emails she sent over a private email account contained classified
information.
The
warning comes after Trump, who serves as a senior adviser to her father,
President Trump, said in an interview with ABC on Tuesday that there
was “no equivalency” between
her email situation and that of former of Secretary of State
Hillary Clinton, because none of the emails sent or received on her
personal email account were classified or deleted after the fact.
