Undated: Statutory rape refers to sexual relations involving someone below the "age of consent." People below the age of consent cannot legally consent to having sex. This means that sex with them, by definition, violates the law.

Statutory rape laws vary by state, with states setting the age of consent differently, as well as using different names to refer to this crime. Many states punish statutory rape under laws addressing sexual assault, rape, unlawful sexual intercourse or carnal knowledge of a child. There are very few federal laws dealing with statutory rape.

Statutory rape differs from other types of rape, and from child molestation, in that the act would not be a crime if all participants were above the age of consent. Unlike "forcible rape," statutory rape can involve underage participants who willingly engage in sexual relations. However, because those under the age of consent cannot give legal consent to sex, the act is a crime whether or not force is involved. If the act involves force or coercion, many states prosecute the offender under the separate statutes punishing child molestation or aggravated rape.

Undated: It is generally illegal to touch someone who doesn't want to be touched. Battery is a tort – a violation of civil law for which the victim can sue – that entails a "harmful or offensive contact with the person of another." It doesn't require a physical injury, just an offensive touching. As one court explained, "the slightest unlawful touching of the person of another is sufficient, for the law cannot draw the line between different degrees of violence and therefore totally prohibits the first and lowest stage, since every individual's person is sacred and no other has the right to touch it." Criminal laws also prohibit a range of unconsented touchings, which have different names such as "battery," "assault" and "rape."

September 21: Marines told to tolerate sexual abuse of boys by Afghan military

The U.S., being more eager to make friends, makes allies of countries that embrace cultural norms Americans find criminal.

The New York Times reports U.S. Marines in Afghanistan must tolerate the sexual abuse of boys by Afghan military leaders.

According to the article, sexual abuse of children by armed military leaders is "rampant."

Afghans call it "bacha bazi," literally "boy play."

"At night we can hear them screaming, but we’re not allowed to do anything about it," one Marine told his father.

Child rape is alleged at U.S. military bases, according to court documents, but American soldiers and Marines have been instructed not to intervene.

Dan Quinn, a former Special Forces captain (and not the Falcons coach), beat up an Afghan commander for keeping a boy chained to his bed as a sex slave. He was relieved of his command and shipped out of the country. The Army is currently trying to forcibly retire Sgt. First Class Charles Martland, who helped Quinn confront the Afghan leader.

The policy of the U.S. military is that allegations of child rape are "a matter of domestic Afghan criminal law."

"The American policy of nonintervention is intended to maintain good relations with the Afghan police and militia units the United States has trained to fight the Taliban," writes The New York Times, adding that powerful Afghan men often surround themselves with young teenagers to highlight their social status.

It's not just boys.

In 2011, Quinn and Martland investigated the claims of Afghan residents who said military commanders raped a 14-year-old girl in a field. The matter was turned over to a local police chief, who punished the victim by making her marry her abuser.

Another Afghan military commander stole the money used to pay his troops and spent it on "dancing boys."

Another murdered his 12-year-old daughter for kissing a boy. There were no repercussions for the "honor killing."

Despite spending more in Afghanistan than the U.S. has ever spent to rebuild any other country, “all of that has not brought the United States or Afghanistan a single sustainable institution or program” says The Journal of World Affairs .

Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia, another strong U.S. ally, a teen will be executed by crucifixion for protesting a government that sentenced his uncle to death by crucifixion for "insulting the king" of that oil-rich land.

Sometimes it seems our allies treat their citizens worse than our enemies.

November 5: Former Aryan Nations Leader [August Byron Kreis III] Gets 50 Years for Child Rape

During the three-day trial, Kreis held up a sign to the jury, “Vote for Donald Trump.” That prompted his defense attorney to ask for a mistrial, but the judge rejected the attempt to derail the trial.

June 20: Donald Trump & Jeffrey Epstein Rape Lawsuit and Affidavits
https://www.scribd.com/doc/316341058/Donald-Trump-Jeffrey-Epstein-Rape-Lawsuit-and-Affidavits

June 29: In covering a story, a media outlet is not finding guilt. It is simply reporting the news that [for example] a lawsuit has been filed against Mr. Trump, and ideally putting the complaint in context. Unproven allegations are just that - unproven, and should be identified that way. ...  Proof comes later, at trial. But the November election will come well before any trial. And while Mr. Trump is presumed innocent, we are permitted — no, we are obligated — to analyze [a] case’s viability ....

July 4: You’d think an accusation of child rape levelled at one of the most powerful men in the Western world would be front page news, and yet reports of a federal lawsuit filed against Donald Trump, which claims he and another man sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl, have hardly made a sound.

October 8: Remember That Lawsuit Accusing Donald Trump of Child Rape?

Federal Judge Ronnie Abrams has ordered a December status conference hearing after a woman, who calls herself “Jane Doe,” filed a lawsuit claiming that Trump raped her when she was 13 years old in the 1990s. This is the third attempt the plaintiff has made in filing this particular lawsuit.

October 12: Donald Trump rape accuser gets Dec. 16 court date for federal civil suit

October 19:

Donald Trump Rape and Trafficking Accusations ... In the wake of a controversy over lewd comments, an Internet image stitched together some claims about Donald Trump's alleged abuse of women.

Claim: Donald Trump raped his former wife and a young woman, and his modeling agency was found to be trafficking young girls.

Rating: Mixed ...The first claim held that in 1989 Donald Trump’s first ex-wife, Ivana, swore under oath in a deposition that he had violently raped her and that somehow that information wasn’t brought to light during the comprehensive mudslinging that engulfed the extremely heated 2016 election. But a simple online search shows quite clearly that numerous articles published from the summer of 2015 onwards made frequent reference to Ivana Trump’s purported statement:

Ivana’s statement according to a “Notice to the Reader” in the book, “does not contradict or invalidate any information contained in this book.”

The second allegation ... holding that Trump Model Management (New York City modeling agency) was “caught trafficking young girls and hiding them in basements” [dormitory-style quarters] ... This claim originated with a 30 August 2016 Mother Jones article that notably had nothing to do with any allegations that Donald Trump or his modeling agency had engaged in human trafficking.

The third and final claim in the meme was perhaps the most widely-reported of all the three things that no one was supposedly talking about. It pertained to a twice-filed civil (not criminal) lawsuit against Donald Trump brought by a woman using the alias “Katie Johnson” who claimed that Trump “sexually and physically” abused her at parties hosted by billionaire Jeffrey Epstein when she was 13 years old and then threatened her to ensure her silence

October 31: Reminder: Donald Trump Due in Court After Election Day on Child Rape and Racketeering Charges

Author Salman Rushdie reminded voters that Trump will stand trial later this month in a racketeering lawsuit and then again next month as part of a lawsuit filed by a woman who claims the Republican presidential nominee raped her when she was 13 years old.

“He is a sexual predator, hasn’t released his tax returns, and has used his foundation’s money to pay his legal fees,” Rushdie posted Sunday on his Facebook page. “He has abused the family of a war hero and … oh, but let’s talk about some emails Hillary didn’t send from someone else’s computer, that weren’t a crime anyway, because that’s how to choose a president. Come on, America. Focus.”

November 4: Lawsuit Charges Donald Trump with Raping a 13-Year-Old Girl ... There is little doubt that Donald Trump knows Jeffrey Epstein [claimed to also be involved in the rape], as Trump acknowledged in a 2002 New York magazine profile of Epstein:

Epstein has been named in multiple similar lawsuits over the last several years, served 13 months in jail, and is registered as a sex offender for life ... And yet if you talk to Donald Trump, a different Epstein emerges. “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump booms from a speakerphone. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

A status conference for the lawsuit was scheduled to be held on 16 December 2016.

November 5: Trump Teen Rape Accuser Drops Lawsuit for Reported Third Time

Known only as 'Jane Doe', the woman had alleged that, while she was in her early teens, Trump and wealthy investor Jeffrey Epstein raped her multiple times during parties at Epstein's home.

Epstein is a Level 3 sex offender.

The woman and her current lawyer, Lisa Bloom, were to appear at a news conference last week, but canceled, citing threats the woman had received.

November 6: Trump Child Rape Suit Dropped But Not Before Shining Light on Gatsby-Like Pedophile's Ties to Both Campaigns

Of all the headlines that have dogged Republican nominee Donald Trump—that he's sexually assaulted more than a dozen women, that he bribed Florida's Attorney General with an illegal donation as she was investigating whether to file fraud charges, that he used a dubious tax deduction to skirt IRS laws, that he illegally traded with Cuba despite the embargo, or his pleas to Vladimir Putin to hack U.S. servers—one seems curiously bottom billed.

November 17: U.S. troops told to ignore child rape by Afghan security forces

Interviewed subjects said they had heard about the abuse and reported it to their superiors, but "In some cases, the interviewees explained that they, or someone whom they knew, were told that nothing could be done about child sexual abuse because of Afghanistan's status as a sovereign nation, that it was not a priority for the command, or that it was best to ignore the situation and to let the local police handle it," the report stated.

The report quoted several interviewees who were told that the abuse problem was a cultural issue and the U.S. military couldn't do anything to stop it. But once news media, including The New York Times, began reporting the abuse among Afghan forces, there was more concern.

The inspector general report recommended that the Department of Defense determine whether child rape by Afghan security forces constitutes "gross violations of human rights that require further review by United States Forces-Afghanistan or the Gross Violation of Human Rights Forum."

November 28: U.S. Troops Told to Ignore Child Rape by Afghan Security Forces

The Department of Defense began the investigation in 2015 after several media reports alleged the U.S. military ignored the practice to facilitate the Pentagon's mission in Afghanistan. The investigation found there was no written guidance or policy telling U.S. personnel not to report such behavior, but that it was best for it to be left alone.
