November 19: Tensions boiled a day after [Mike Pence]  the VP-elect saw the hip-hop musical about Alexander Hamilton. He was greeted by a mix of cheers and boos from the audience when he took his seat — and then the cast broke the fourth wall at curtain call to encourage Pence to fight for all Americans.

But Trump took the speech — in which the actors thanked Pence for attending the show and addressed him as “sir” — as harassment.

At one point in the sketch, [Kate] McKinnon's [Kellyanne] Conway defends Trump's tweets, saying, "There is a reason, actually, that Donald tweets so much. He does it to distract the media from his business conflicts and all the very scary people in his cabinet."

"Actually, that's not why I do it," [Alec] Baldwin's Trump responded. "I do it because my brain is bad."

January 9: Liberal actress Meryl Streep used her time at the podium after winning the Golden Globes Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award to rip Republican President-elect Donald Trump — though she never mentioned his name in her speech.

“There was one performance this year that stunned me. It sank its hooks in my heart. Not because it was good. There was nothing good about it. But it was effective and it did its job. It made its intended audience laugh and show their teeth. It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter,” Streep said Sunday night, presumably in reference to Trump’s apparent mocking of Serge Kovaleski, who has a congenital condition that affects joint movement. “Someone he outranked in privilege, power and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart when I saw it. I still can’t get it out of my head because it wasn’t in a movie. It was real life.”

January 15: Meryl Streep never mentioned President-elect Donald Trump by name during her six-minute condemnation at the Golden Globes. He had no problem going after her directly.

May 29: ABC's decision to cancel Roseanne Barr's eponymous show following a racist comment she made about former Obama administration official Valerie Jarrett on Twitter was shocking for two reasons.

First, because it amounted to a TV network drawing a moral line in the sand -- insisting that no amount of money or ratings gave Roseanne the right to express views that ABC described in a statement as "abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values."

Second, because that decision to take a moral stand represents a stark contrast from the moral relativism preached by the president of the United States.

What’s next—Kim Kardashian cures cancer? Whoever wins The Bachelor gets appointed head of the World Bank? What sort of sad comment is it on this country that a reality-show star with ridiculous hair and an ego the size of the Empire State Building, a man who’s best known for firing people and losing money on casinos, is now the world’s most powerful man? He is nothing but a cheap act of bluster and attitude, and frankly it’s terrifying that this is a man whose ego could lead us into nuclear war.

August 8: George Takei vs. Donald Trump Jr.: Actor, icon admits ‘horror’ of facing Trump Jr.’s ‘Twitter army’

Nine months ago, George Takei saw the good will he had built up over five decades as “Star Trek’s” Lt. Sulu, and as a social media activist and LGBTQ icon, almost evaporate. He was one of a number of men caught up in the tidal wave of post-Harvey Weinstein sexual assault allegations.

In early November, a former model accused Takei of drugging and groping him in 1981 in a story published in the Hollywood Reporter. Takei, 81, vehemently denied the allegations, but fans expressed outrage and wondered if they had been duped by their beliefs that he had always been one of the good guys. Several publishing partners broke ties with him.

Donald Trump Jr. also unleashed his “Twitter army” on him, as the The Daily Beast reports in a new interview with Takei. The president’s son tweeted on Dec. 9, 2017: “I guess you have a bit more free time to read #fakenews now that it’s a bit tougher to ply kids with alcohol to assault them??? You know with all the added scrutiny.”

September 6: In light of an op-ed published by an anonymous Trump official this week alleging that senior staff are working to thwart the president's agenda, U.S. Sen. Bob Corker says allegations are no surprise.

“I am not a fan of anonymous op-eds, but I don’t think those of us who have worked closely with people in the White House are surprised by the content," Corker, a Republican who shares long-running beef with Trump, said in a statement Thursday.

"I think the biggest issue they’re going to have is figuring out who wouldn’t have written a letter like that," Corker said.

Wendy R. Sherman, former Undersecretary of State and President Obama's lead nuclear negotiator with Iran, spoke with Christiane Amanpour as explosive revelations about President Trump were leaking from Bob Woodward's new book, "Fear."

"These are echoes of other books and other reporting we have heard about what the Trump White House is like," Sherman told Amanpour on Wednesday. "What makes this a bombshell is the author. There is no one more credible than Bob Woodward."

Sherman is a veteran US negotiator, known as "The Silver Fox" by her colleagues. She spent years mediating the Iran nuclear deal, one that Trump has left at risk of collapse.

Woods was banned for the crime of meme sharing, after he tweeted an image in July originating on ‘internet cesspool’ 4chan. The image showed three effeminate men promising to stay at home in November’s midterm elections to “make a woman’s vote worth more.”

Woods commented on the post: “Pretty scary that there is a distinct possibility that this could be real. Not likely, but in this day and age of absolute liberal insanity, it is at least possible…”
