March 21: Summer Zervos ... The former
Apprentice contestant has accused the president of sexual misconduct,
including kissing and groping her in the years after she left the show. She has
filed suit against him, saying he made defamatory remarks about her after she
came forward with her story.

June 9: Why the
Summer Zervos case might be the most dangerous for Trump
President Trump may never sit for an interview with special counsel
Robert Mueller, but it’s looking more likely he’ll have to answer
questions as part of a defamation lawsuit filed by a former contestant on “The
Apprentice.”
A ruling by a New York state judge this week said Trump can be deposed in the
defamation lawsuit filed by Summer Zervos, the former contestant who has accused
Trump of unwanted advances.
Some see the legal fight, which has received less publicity than other cases, as
the most dangerous to Trump because it could lead to testimony where he’d risk
lying or making a misstatement under oath.

June 14: Two Major
Lawsuits Facing President Trump Hinge on This Constitutional Question
On Thursday, New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood
sued Trump and three of his children over allegedly misusing a family
charity for personal business, such as paying off creditors.
That same day, New York’s highest court
rejected an appeal from Trump’s lawyers to dismiss or delay a defamation
case brought by former “Apprentice” contestant Summer Zervos against Trump.
The two cases are underpinned by the same contention:
a sitting president can be subject to a civil lawsuit in a state court.
As it turns out, that’s an unresolved question, and Trump’s lawyers have tried
to use it to his advantage.

October 18: Judges
consider state court’s power over Trump in lawsuit
Appeals court judges weighing President Donald Trump’s bid to shut down a former
“Apprentice” contestant’s defamation suit against him are asking a hypothetical
question: Could a New York court order the president to jail if he were to buck
an order in the case?
The question came up — but wasn’t definitively answered — as lawyers for Trump
and ex-contestant Summer Zervos argued Thursday in a New York appeals court.
Zervos sued Trump for calling her a liar after she accused him of unwanted
kissing and groping in two incidents in 2007. Trump’s lawyers are trying to get
the case dismissed or delayed until after his presidency.

October 31:
President Trump to turn over calendars in Summer Zervos' defamation lawsuit
President Donald Trump will turn over portions of his calendars and journals as
he battles a defamation
lawsuit filed against him by Summer Zervos, a one-time contestant on his
former TV show The Apprentice.
The Trump Organization, his New York City-based business, will produce Trump's
calendars and or journal entries from November 2007 through February 2008,
according to a
legal stipulation signed by attorneys for both sides and filed in New York
County Supreme Court on Tuesday.
The four-month period includes entries that outlined Trump's days during
December 2007, the time when Zervos alleges he groped and forcibly kissed her in
Los Angeles' Beverley Hills Hotel.
Zervos has also charged that Trump “ambushed” her more than once during 2007 —
six years before he was elected president — by kissing her on the mouth,
touching her breast and pressing his genitals against her.
