Undated: Stephen Miller
(born August 23, 1985)[1] is an American far-right[1][2] political activist who serves as a senior advisor for policy for President Donald Trump.[3] He was previously the communications director for then-Senator Jeff Sessions. He was also a press secretary for Republican representatives Michele Bachmann and John Shadegg.

As a speechwriter for Trump, Miller helped write Trump's inaugural address.[4][5][6] He has been a key adviser since the early days of Trump's presidency. An immigration hardliner, Miller was a chief architect of Trump's travel ban,[7][8][9] the administration's reduction of refugees accepted to the United States,[10] and Trump's policy of separating migrant children from their parents.[11] On February 12, 2017, he appeared to question the power of the judiciary to limit the executive's role in setting immigration policy.[12]

As a White House spokesman, Miller has on multiple occasions made false and unsubstantiated claims regarding widespread electoral fraud.[5][13][14]

May 30: How Stephen Miller Rode White Rage from Duke’s Campus to Trump’s West Wing

At the young age of 31, Stephen Miller has his own office in the West Wing and the President’s ear. He also has held a shocking worldview since he was a teenager. From his writings on the 2006 Duke lacrosse-team rape scandal, which gave the then–college junior national media exposure, to an alleged association with a white-nationalist advocate, William D. Cohan dives deep into Miller’s tumultuous past.

April 8: DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen's ouster exposes Trump's immigration crisis

... she is ... paying the price for a crisis exacerbated by the President's decision-making amid a major surge in migrants crossing the border.

Her departure is a victory for conservative immigration voices, such as White House policy adviser Stephen Miller, who have long had Trump's ear and are pushing the President to adopt an even more hardline border policy.

Nielsen "believed the situation was becoming untenable" with Trump "becoming increasingly unhinged about the border crisis and making unreasonable and even impossible requests," a senior administration official told CNN's Jake Tapper on Sunday.
