Donald
Trump, an American businessman, politician, and
45th
president of the
United States, has used several pseudonyms, including "John Barron"
(or "John Baron"), "John Miller" and "David Dennison". His
practice of sometimes speaking to the media under the guise of a spokesperson
has been described as "an open secret" at
the Trump Organization and in New York media circles.[1]
Some New York editors recalled that "calls from Barron were at points so common
that they became a recurring joke on the city desk."[2]
A writer for
Fortune reported that Trump's father
Fred Trump
had used the pseudonym Mr. Green in business dealings.[3]

May 10:
In the latest chapter from the book of "You Can't Make This-Stuff Up: Election
Edition," we are left to ponder the strange case of Donald Trump and his alleged
alter egos.
The Washington Post came out with an
extensive report Friday, detailing how Trump, back in the 90s, posed as his
own PR person when speaking with press. He, according to the report, used the
names John Miller and John Barron and talked about a lot of things, including
whether or not he was romantically linked to Madonna. Trump denied the story,
and the Post is standing by it.
Per usual with Trump, Twitter had fun with it:
And of course, our last question has to be: What will happen next? It seems this
presidential campaign magnifies the unbelievable, almost exponentially, just
about everyday. What will happen next week?

Donald Trump’s ‘John Miller’ interview is even crazier than you think

John Miller: Have you met him [Donald Trump]? He’s a good guy and he’s not going
to hurt anybody. The one article said he was going to throw her [Marla] out of
the apartment is total nonsense. He is going to always treat her well as he
treated his wife well. I mean, he paid his wife a great deal of money. He did it
in a very bad period of time and, ultimately, that was settled.

May 18: Donald Trump's Long, Strange History
of Using Fake Names
All political candidates use some spin to advance their cause. It is now so
common that voters come to expect it. As a businessman, Donald Trump long
practiced an extreme version of self-promotion he called “truthful
hyperbole” to get what he wanted. Now, as he is the presumptive GOP nominee
for president, this past is coming back to haunt him.

March 7:
The David Dennison Who Shares Donald Trump’s Alias Is Really Confused: 'Who Came
Up with My Name?'
https://people.com/politics/real-david-dennison-donald-trump-alias-speaks-out/
March 7: President “David Dennison,” also
known as Donald Trump, is facing a lawsuit because he didn’t sign the “hush
agreement” that would have kept Stephanie Clifford, also known as porn star
“Stormy Daniels,” from talking about their alleged affair over a decade ago.
In the alleged non-disclosure agreement between Trump and Clifford, Trump is
referred to throughout as “David Dennison” and Clifford as “Peggy Petterson.”
Only in a separate, code-breaking document is Dennison identified as Trump. That
part of the document in the court filing Clifford brought forward on Tuesday is
blacked out, but Clifford’s attorneys says “David Dennison” refers to Trump.

March 21: If you haven't heard the name
David Dennison, brace yourself. You're about to hear it everywhere. If you have
heard it, but you're still confused about who Dennison is, or why the
name exists, the late-night comics have a few answers for you: He's our
president. And he's involved in a legal battle with another alias — Peggy
Peterson.

President Trump signed a non-disclosure agreement with Stormy Daniels, a former
porn star also known as Peggy Peterson. Peterson sued Dennison for the right to
speak out about the affair. And Dennison is suing Peterson to keep it quiet.
Confused yet?

April 20: President
Donald Trump lied his way onto the Forbes list of richest Americans and used
a fake persona to do so, according to a former writer for the magazine.
In a piece for The Washington Post,
Jonathan Greenberg recounts the difficult task of tallying up the future
commander-in-chief’s wealth as he built his New York-area real estate empire.
Trump’s persistence in trying to convince journalists how rich he is has been
well documented over the years, but Greenberg’s piece takes it a step further.
He asserts that Trump used a fake voice and pseudonym of “John Barron” to
convince the magazine that he should be on the Forbes 400 list.

April 23: Trump’s
History of Lying, from John Barron to @realDonaldTrump
Back to top
... Trump claimed to be Barron, a fictional official with the Trump
Organization, in a phone call with Jonathan Greenberg, a young researcher at
Forbes, who was working on the magazine’s annual ranking of the
four hundred richest people in America. Two years earlier, Trump had made it
onto the Forbes list for the first time, with an estimated
fortune of a hundred million dollars. In an effort to get himself moved up,
Trump, speaking as Barron, insisted that he was worth at least nine hundred
million dollars, and probably much more, because he had recently inherited the
bulk of the real-estate fortune of his father, Fred. “Most of the assets have
been consolidated to Mr. Trump,” Barron told Greenberg. “You have down Fred
Trump . . . but I think you can really use Donald Trump now.”
