August 18: Strategist and pollster Kellyanne Conway has been in the business of politics for more than two decades, but she may have taken on her toughest job yet: Trump whisperer.

With her promotion to campaign manager, Conway will now travel at Donald Trump's side until Election Day, charged with helping him reduce the self-inflicted wounds that do major damage to his image, and loading him up with facts and ideas before he takes the microphone.

June 15:
Kellyanne Conway's husband swipes at Trump on Twitter

The husband of White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway – and a former top prospect to lead a Justice Department division – on Monday criticized President Trump for bashing the DOJ’s “politically correct” revision of his original travel ban executive order.

“These tweets may make some ppl feel better, but they certainly won't help OSG get 5 votes in SCOTUS, which is what actually matters. Sad,” tweeted George Conway, a partner at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.

Conway also tweeted a link to a Washington Post analysis speculating that the president’s tweets could hurt the administration’s defense of the travel ban at the Supreme Court.

January 11: Kellyanne Conway: Trump has ‘discovered’ border-wall concerns

What the president promised voters was a wall – not a fence – that spanned the U.S./Mexico border, which Mexico would pay for. Trump now expects Americans to pay for the barrier, and according to what Kellyanne Conway told CNN’s Chris Cuomo last night, the rest of the president’s promise is uncertain, too.

June 6: President Donald Trump disinvited the Philadelphia Eagles football team to a Tuesday event at the White House honoring … well, uh … the Super Bowl win of the Philadelphia Eagles. But the celebration still went on as scheduled, with the president even bopping along to “God Bless America” during the event. On Wednesday morning, Kellyanne Conway appeared on CNN’s New Day to talk about the event, the Eagles, and the NFL national anthem protests — and something truly miraculous occurred: She accidentally referred to Trump as the “commander of cheese.”

August 15: Kellyanne Conway said her husband's anti-Trump tweets were 'a violation of basic decency' if not their 'marital vows'

"It is disrespectful, it's a violation of basic decency, certainly, if not marital vows," she said, then asking to have that quote attributed to "a person familiar with their relationship."

"I've never actually said what I think about it and I won't say what I think about it, which tells you what I think about it," she added.

October 3:
Kellyanne Conway defends Trump's Ford comments, saying she's been 'treated like a Fabergé egg'

The White House is once again playing defense following some off-the-cuff comments made by President Trump.

During a rally Tuesday, Trump imitated Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, mockingly saying, "How did you get home? 'I don't remember.' How'd you get there? 'I don't remember.' Where is the place? 'I don't remember,'" per CNN. This drew criticism even from some Republicans, like Sen. Jeff Flake (Ariz.) and Sen. Susan Collins (Maine), both of whom are key swing votes in the Kavanaugh confirmation.

But White House counselor Kellyanne Conway is standing by Trump's comments.

November 16: Conservative lawyer George Conway, the husband of presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway, said Friday that his dislike of President Donald Trump's administration balances out his wife's dislike of his vocal opposition to the White House.

"I don't think she likes it," he told host Michael Isikoff on the Yahoo News podcast "Skullduggery." "But I've told her, I don't like the administration, so it's even."

But Conway said that many beltway couples disagree on politics, and that he and Kellyanne agree on nearly all other policy issues.
