Keith Schiller (born c.
1959)[1]
is a former
Deputy Assistant to U.S. President
Donald
Trump who concurrently served as Director of
Oval Office Operations. Prior to his appointment in the
Trump administration, Schiller served as the Director of Security for
The Trump Organization; in this capacity, he was the personal bodyguard to
Trump. He has been described as "one of Trump's most loyal and trusted aides"
and "a constant presence at Trump's side for nearly two decades."[2]
Schiller made headlines in 2015 when he hit a protester outside
Trump
Tower.[4][5][6]
He was appointed Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Oval Office
Operations after Trump assumed the office of the President in January 2017. In
this role, he accompanied
Jared Kushner to
Iraq and sat in on meetings, and became known as a Trump
fixer.[7][8]
Schiller was selected by Trump to personally deliver to
FBI headquarters the
letter telling FBI director James Comey that he was being dismissed
"effective immediately";[9][10]
Comey was not present at the time, learning of his firing from television
reports while in Los Angeles.[11]
Schiller left his White House position on September 20, 2017, reportedly after
White House Chief of Staff
John
F. Kelly told him he needed permission to speak to the president and to
provide written reports of those conversations.[16][17][18]
Previously,
Bloomberg had reported that Schiller would return to private security when
he left the Trump Administration.[19]
On November 1, 2017, Schiller was named as one of several high-profile witnesses
to be privately interviewed by the
House Intelligence Committee as part of its Russia investigations.[20][21]
The interview took place on November 7, where he reportedly told the committee
that the salacious allegations in the
Donald Trump-Russia dossier were not true, and that he could not recall or
was not aware of
connections between Russia and Trump associates.[22]
He also testified that a Russian offered to send five women to Trump's hotel
room during their 2013 trip to Moscow for the Miss Universe pageant but he
rejected the offer.[23][24]
"One source noted that Schiller testified he eventually left Trump's hotel room
door and could not say for sure what happened during the remainder of the
night."[25]

21: Trump's former bodyguard hired by RNC for $15,000
a month
Keith Schiller, President Donald Trump's longtime bodyguard, is advising the
Republican National Committee on security for the 2020 convention, a contract
that nets Trump's longstanding personal aide $15,000 a month.
Schiller
left the White House in September as the director of Oval Office operations,
but his ties to Trump are deep and date back to the President's time as a
private citizen and television personality. He was an omnipresent figure during
the Trump campaign, often next to the candidate in key moments of the race, and
he was
interviewed in November as part of the House Intelligence Committee's
investigation into 2016 meddling.
Schiller, according to Federal Election Commission reports, began receiving
about $15,000 a month for "security services" in October 2017, around the same
time that he left the White House.
An RNC official confirmed that Schiller's company -- KS Global Group LLC -- "has
been retained to provide security consultation for the RNC 2020 convention site
selection process, which is currently underway."
The official added that the money to pay Schiller comes out of the committee's
convention fund, as opposed to their building or general campaign funds.
The payments,
which were first reported by CNBC, appear to be more money than the $165,000
Schiller made at the White House

April 17: Trump campaign paid Trump
bodyguard Keith Schiller's lawyers, records show
Donald Trump's campaign paid more than $66,000 to the law firm that represents
Keith Schiller, his former longtime
bodyguard, newly filed campaign records show.
Schiller,
who left a White House job in September, testified to the House Intelligence
Committee in November that someone made an offer to send five women to Trump's
hotel room in Moscow in the lead-up to the 2013 Miss Universe pageant.
Two people familiar with the matter told NBC News that Schiller painted the
incident in a light favorable to Trump, saying he turned down the offer on
Trump's behalf and
treated it as a joke. It is presumed by congressional investigators that
Schiller told the same story to special counsel Robert Mueller.
Stuart Sears, a lawyer for Schiller, said he could not comment on whether the
Trump campaign's payment was related to Schiller's legal fees.
Since the investigations into Trump and his son are at least partially related
to the campaign, they appear to be on firm legal ground using campaign funds to
defray some of their legal costs.
The Schiller situation could be different, given that Schiller has been
questioned about matters that occurred in 2013, well before Trump declared his
candidacy, according to Brett Kappel, a campaign finance lawyer with Akerman LLP.
