November
27: Since its launch earlier this year, Donald Trump's campaign has
been peppered with controversy about his habit of accidentally -- or at times
quite intentionally -- offending entire groups of people.
When he kicked off his campaign in June, Trump offended Mexicans as well as
advocates for immigrants when he described some Mexicans crossing the U.S.'s
southern border as "rapists."
He's been starting similar fires with different groups ever since, and
Thanksgiving week he found himself embroiled in yet another dust-up.
Here's a look at the groups Trump has directly insulted or inadvertently
offended this season.

June 28: Donald Trump likes to give
nicknames to his critics, and one of his favorite nicknames for Sen. Elizabeth
Warren (D-Mass.) is “Pocahontas,” which he has been using on and off in recent
weeks. On June 27, the first time Warren and Hillary Clinton spoke together at a
campaign rally since Warren endorsed Clinton earlier this month, Trump re-upped
this nickname.

In 2017,
ProPublica
reported that Kasowitz may be ineligible for a federal security clearance due to
his alcohol abuse.[30]
After reading the articles, a currently unidentified individual sent an email to
Kasowtiz urging him to "resign now." Kasowitz replied with a series of
profanity-laced emails, some of which took a threatening tone, writing, "I'm on
you now. You are fucking with me now Let's see who you are Watch your back,
bitch," as well as "Call me. Don't be afraid, you piece of shit. Stand up. If
you don't call, you're just afraid." And later: "I already know where you live,
I'm on you. You might as well call me. You will see me. I promise. Bro."[31]
The emailer forwarded the emails to the
Federal Bureau of Investigation to report the threats, and Kasowitz
subsequently issued a statement saying "The person sending that email is
entitled to his opinion, and I should not have responded in that inappropriate
manner...This is one of those times where one wishes he could reverse the clock,
but of course I can't."[32]

Donald Trump believes that politics is a ‘disgrace’ and has

While it may be true that some politicians are morally corrupt,
this is a low blow for the many hard working politicians and campaigners who are
trying their best to create a positive influence on the way the country is run.

November 28:
President Donald Trump, during an event at the White House honoring Navajo
code talkers Monday, referenced his nickname for Sen. Elizabeth Warren,
"Pocahontas," a label he has long used about the Massachusetts Democrat.
"I just want to thank you because you are very, very special people. You were
here long before any of us were here," Trump said. "Although, we have a
representative in Congress who has been here a long time ... longer than you --
they call her Pocahontas!"
He then turned to one of the code talkers behind him, put his left hand on the
man's shoulder and said: "But you know what, I like you. You are special
people."
Trump did not name Warren.
The comment, met with silence from event attendees, revives an insult the
President has long thrust upon Warren but restated during a high-profile meeting
with the Native American war heroes.

November 27: "This was supposed to be an
event to honor heroes, people who put it all on the line for our country and
people who because of their incredible work saved the lives of countless
Americans and our allies," Warren said Monday. "It is deeply unfortunate that
the President of the United States cannot even make it through a ceremony
honoring these heroes without having to throw out a racial slur."
"Donald Trump has does this over and over thinking somehow he's going to shut me
up with it. It hadn't worked in the past, it is not going to work in the
future," she warned.

November 28: In the early 1990s, Trump
attacked expanding Native American–run casinos that he believed posed a threat
to his own gambling empire. In media appearances, he claimed Native American
reservations had fallen under mob control, and he questioned the ethnicity of
Native Americans on a Connecticut reservation.
“I think I might have more Indian blood than a lot of the so-called Indians that
are trying to open up the reservations,” Trump said during a 1993 radio
interview with shock jock Don Imus.
In 2000, Trump paid more than $1 million for an ad campaign that portrayed

On page after page, the US president lobs lurid insults at Theresa May. But it
may turn out that he’s done her a favour
... Donald Trump, straight-talking disruptor-in-chief, grants an
interview to the Sun, a newspaper in so many ways the US president’s natural
forum. The interviewer’s 10-minute slot stretches to 28; the interviewee is
clearly enjoying himself, and the resulting headlines – “May has wrecked Brexit”,
“US trade deal is off” – appear slap-bang in the middle of the prime minister’s
grand opening effort to convince him of the contrary.
The insults continued for page after lurid page, including dismissive comments
about the prime minister’s new plan for Brexit (“I think the deal is not what
the people voted on”); about Theresa May’s conduct of the negotiations (“I
actually told Theresa May how to do it, but she didn’t listen to me … she wanted
to go a different route”); and – dear, oh dear – about the “very talented guy”,
Boris Johnson, who “would be “a great prime minister”, whom he was
“surprised and saddened” to see leaving government.

Trump Insults Canada In Phone Call With Trudeau Over Tariffs
Trump may be terrible at building walls but he sure is great at burning
bridges — according to
CNN, the U.S. President had a 'testy' phone call with Canadian Prime
Minister Justin Trudeau last week regarding the new tariffs targeting Canadian
steel and aluminum imports.
The Trump administration used an old trade law from 1962 to justify the
tariffs as a national security issue. When Trudeau asked how Canada, a
longstanding ally, could be a threat to the U.S., Trump snarkily replied with a
reference to the War of 1812, saying: "Didn't you guys burn down the White
House?"
The problem with that remark is that British troops were actually
responsible for burning down the White House during the War of 1812. Canada at
the time was still a colony of the United Kingdom and gained independence after
the war in 1867. It should also be noted that the act Trump refers to was simply
a British response to an American attack on York, Ontario in 1813.

a school in his Ohio hometown.

children".

Kelly reportedly sent an email in 2017 following a heated phone

her as an “impolite
arrogant woman,” BuzzFeed reported. The then-Homeland Security Secretary
also called it the “absolutely most insulting conversation I have ever had with

Warren said Kelly had been ducking her phone calls as she tried to get answers
about the Muslim ban. She also demanded that his agency follow the court

November 18: Trump Insults Key House
Democrat Adam Schiff With Potty Humor Tweet
President Donald Trump insulted Democratic Representative Adam Schiff of
California with a tweet that misspelled the Intelligence Committee member’s name
in a way that suggests a scatological reference.
“So funny to see little Adam Schitt (D-CA) talking about the fact that Acting
Attorney General Matt Whitaker was not approved by the Senate, but not
mentioning the fact that Bob Mueller (who is highly conflicted) was not approved
by the Senate!” Trump tweeted on Sunday.
Schiff, a frequent critic of Trump, said on ABC’s “This Week” earlier in the day
that the appointment of Whitaker was “unconstitutional” because he wasn’t

the White House rejects.

May 26:
The
President of the United States is erratic, illiterate, and doesn’t want to
know what he doesn’t know. The President has alienated former allies, befriended
or courted murderous dictators, and has repeatedly brought the country to the
brink of nuclear confrontation. The President lies constantly, knows that he is
lying, and demands that Administration officials lie for him, and often they do.
The President has waged war on the institutions of government, overseeing the
gutting of the State Department and the destruction of other federal agencies by
their own leaders, and effectively shut off media access to the Pentagon, the
State Department, and the White House. The President has acted to thwart
oversight of the Administration by other branches of government. The President
has never made a secret of despising the government itself: he has called it a
“swamp” and gleefully shut it down for thirty-five days, during a temper
tantrum. The President has not only failed to divest himself of his businesses
but has installed his children in and near the White House, openly using his
office for personal financial gain. The President has debased political culture
and language, using his bully pulpit to spew lies, hate, and personal insults
