Undated: In the politics of the United States, the Gang of Six is either of three bipartisan groups of six Senators consisting of three Democrats and three Republicans. One group, active in 2009, focused on health care reform in the United States during the 111th United States Congress. A different group, active in 2011, is following up the compromise on the United States public debt from the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform. A third group, active in 2018, is focused on the Senate immigration debate.

January 25: Led by Republican Sens. Jeff Flake of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, a group of six pro-amnesty senators recently unveiled a so-called "bipartisan immigration proposal."
The deal offered by the "Gang of Six" -- Republican Sens. Cory Gardner of Colorado; and Democratic Sens. Robert Menendez of New Jersey, and Michael Bennet of Colorado – would grant legal status to millions of illegal immigrants, while offering no tradeoffs to mitigate the negative consequences of amnesty, secure the border, and eliminate existing incentives to violate U.S. immigration laws.
